Romantic Desert Engagement Session: Griffin and Savannah

September 30, 2020

Shannon had the sweetest time out at South Mountain with Savannah and Griffin! They are two people that are truly in love and were just beaming with excitement as they talked about their wedding day! We are so excited to be there for their big day next year! – Shannon and the Studio girls

“I knew pretty early on I was in love with Griffin—whether I told him right away or not I cannot remember. It was not a specific moment in time or act of service that captured my heart. When you find a person that has so many of the same values, that sees and admires your heart, yet differs in all the right ways to make you want to be the best version of yourself– the question of whether or not to spend the rest of your life with someone becomes so simple. Saying ‘yes’ to life with Griffin was among one of the easiest decisions in life thus far.”- Savannah

“The first time I said “I love you” was back in college about 9 months after we had started officially dating. We both were coming out of pretty serious relationships, and I think it definitely helped that we were first friends for a few years. Saying “I love you” to Savannah was one of the easiest things I’ve ever said, and it made me realize that this was truly the first time I was in love, even though I thought I felt it before. I called her because I was out of town, but I thought it would be tough to muster the courage, however I couldn’t have been more wrong. Easiest 3 words of my life. “- Griffin

“Griffin and I knew we wanted to get married for some time, so when we started perusing rings, I was not too thrown off! However, I was completely surprised by the when and the where: Each year for the last few years we have traveled to Dallas to spend Thanksgiving with his family. Griffin’s birthday typically falls within the same week as Thanksgiving, so it was not unusual to bring a nice set of clothes for a celebratory dinner outing the day or two before. When Griffin led me to the top of Reunion Tower all dressed up, I thought we were heading to his belated-birthday celebration–but instead as we stood on the terrace, Griffin lowered to one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I was surprised, cried a lot, and had never been happier. To make the evening even more wonderful, Griffin had secretly coordinated my parents to fly in from AZ to join us at the celebratory dinner.” – Griffin

“My favorite thing about my fiancé is how hard she works at everything. To say she truly is a role model for her dedication and passion is an understatement. The amount of effort and planning that goes even into the simplest of tasks is an art form to watch. I know she is going to succeed in life simply by how much she tries. From wedding planning to her job, everything means so much to her, and if it’s not perfect, she’s going to be stressed. So I’ve learned to be that rock and shoulder for her to Lean on.” – Griffin
