Hi I'm Jenn! I'm a Christ-follower, a wife to an amazing hubby and a mom to three precious little girls. I'm an Arizona native that went to college in Oklahoma, but then fell in love with a guy who lived minutes from my childhood home! I dabbled in a few careers before falling in love with photography and never looked back!
My priorities are raising our girls to know the Lord, constantly growing in our marriage, and providing a safe and peaceful home for our family and friends! I love this phase of life I am in right now and could not be more thankful to have this career that gives me sneak peeks to the best seasons of people's everyday lives. Its the best! I hope I get to capture your life's memories soon!
Colorful Dia De Los Muertos Wedding in Scottsdale – Dusty
February 23, 2018
From the minute I arrived to see Erika and her girls at the Montelucia there was pure joy and laughter! All of them already had hair and makeup done and were sitting around the table laughing and enjoying one another’s company!
When I met Erika I could tell she had such a kind and compassionate heart and that was truly shown in all the little details of her wedding day! She had made each of her bridesmaids beautiful bracelets that had each of their names engraved and a little something special about them on the back!
While we were doing bridal portraits I would ask her to look down and then look up with a soft smile! She would try so hard but the biggest smile would come out and we both would laugh! She was so full of Joy she couldn’t help but smile the biggest smile ever and I loved it! ( And being that she is a dentist her teeth were absolutely stunning)
When we arrived at the church we only had five minutes till the services were supposed to start. Erika and Michael had talked about doing a first touch (where they would not see each other but would just hold hands and talk prior to seeing Erika come down the aisle) there was a bit of a rush to start the ceremony but I LOvED how Erika said this is my wedding and this is important to me! It is so true you only get this one moment and you can’t get it back! I loved photographing this intimate moment and so glad we found the time to do it.
The ceremony was beautiful and I loved watching the two of them look at one another and giggle! You could just see how excited they were to be making a covenant with the Lord and coming together as one! As the ceremony came to an end and it was time for Michael to kiss Erika let me tell ya it was the most romantic, spin around, dip kiss I had ever seen!
These two were absolutely made for one another!!
We then headed to McCormick Ranch Golf Club for the reception! It was an outside-inside venue and overlooked the lake and was just gorgeous! From the ranunculi hanging from the ceiling and the beautiful candlelit tables, the ambiance was so romantic!
There were so many beautiful moments during the reception. I loved how as each of the bridal party couples came in the DJ would read a little about what Erika and Michael had to say about them. I also loved how the DJ had Erika and Michael come to dance floor and he told us all their love story and how they met from Erika and Michael words. It was funny, and also made me tear up! These two were brought together by the Lord and they made it a huge point to let everyone know how thankful they were for being there. My absolute favorite was their dance! It started off slow and turned into a fiery, salsa, tango, cumbias masterpiece!!! It was amazing and so fun to watch!! Being that they were both dentists and met in dental school they gave out toothbrushes as one of their thank you gifts and it was awesome!
Erika and Michaels wedding day was full of Love, Joy, and Laughter and Kayla and I enjoyed every second of capturing their love for one another, their family and friends! We feel so blessed to be able to share this day with them!

Thanks so much to these INCREDIBLE vendors for putting together such a flawless day! The design and execution came together perfectly and it was so great working with you all!
“Etsy and wedding wire will be your best friend. With wedding wire I found my vendors, did my wedding website, guest list and seating chart. Also, Do what makes you happy, even if it’s not traditional or what others want. “-Erika
“They have been in my life and have helped me to stay calm and have fun. They’re like brothers who have seen me go through life struggles and stuck by my side through it all”-Michael
If you could re-live 1 hour of the day, which would go back to?
“First time seeing Erika in her dress. The whole ceremony though was just amazing.”-Michael
The couple’s favorite parts of the days were:
Michael says:When Erika walked down the isle.
Erika says: our vows and first kiss as husband and wife
“Picking a venue was tough since you want quality for a small quantity but we chose ours because of the sights, size of the venue and the venue coordinator. We saw a lot of great venues but McCormick Ranch offered a great package for the quantity and Melissa is on top of it and will make you feel at ease. She was so easy to communicate with and did whatever she could to make things happen. We are so thankful we had our wedding reception there because we had 0 issues the day of and I think that was greatly due to Melissa and the awesome McCormick team. People raved about the place, food and drinks. “-Erika What about your beautiful bride did you love the most?
“Everything. But if I had to pick one her vail and flower crown.”-Michael
Anything you look back on that makes you laugh, or unique things that happened that made the day even better?
“The song Michael played for me and sung that he wrote on the guitar. Also our first dance that surprised everyone with the salsa dancing was a blast. Our DJ Robert Walk allowed us to have so many personal details that made our wedding so intimate. People said they got to understand who we really are and how we feel for each other and our loved ones.”-Erika
