“Weddings go by so fast! Everyone will tell you that, but you will not understand until you personally experience it. Take the time to enjoy the planning and do not stress. If you stay organized it won’t be stressful! If there are the moment of stress or hard choices, decide what is most important to you and stand up for it. But remember it will all be so fast that there are some things that you wouldn’t even notice. So enjoy the process and go with the flow :)”-Alex “One of the most unique things about the wedding was the reveal with my father. I have never seen my father cry until that day. It was so special because my relationship with my father is very special. Also having the opportunity to have my mother, as well as other influential women in my life, pray over me as I began a new journey with Grant. There were so many little things like that which made the day very special to me.”-Alex “My favorite time about my wedding day was when I saw Grant standing at the end of the aisle. Up until that point I was excited but so nervous! I could not breathe sometimes because I was just nervous. But when I saw him at the end of the aisle with his face lighting up, all of the nerves went away. I was excited to stand next to him as we committed ourselves to each other in front of family, friends, and most importantly God.”-Alex “The all of the bridal party was in position and the music changed the bridal processional, I began to make eye contact with various people around the room. Bridesmaids, her father, my mother, her mother, and others in the crowd or in the bridal party. Each person seemed to say the same thing in those brief glances, “Are you ready?”. I am sure my eyes said, “NO!”. After that, I do not really remember anyone being in the crowd as Alexandra rounded the corner with her father. “-Grant “The thing that I loved the most was that at all times how she presented herself and what she wore reflected who she is. In all aspects, Alex looked the same way and acted the same way she did when I first met her. She was not plastered in make-up, she slipped on converse later in the evening, she did her hair in a way I would recognize. What made Alex beautiful that days was that she was her, I had just never seen her in a gown that color before. “-Grant
“Each of the men standing up there with me (Including the officiant) not only played a pivotal role in my life and in our relationship but also stoof up there as men that I knew would stand up for our marriage. These are the men that I call when living our the vows actually turn in to following through on a promise. These are the guys that I know will always be for our marriage.”-Grant “About two days after Grant proposed we went venue shopping. He was leaving in a few days to go back to Illinois, so we wanted to get the opportunity to experience that together. We visited a couple of places, but when we saw Villa Siena our jaws dropped. It is so gorgeous and we just really wanted to have the opportunity to hold our wedding there. Our colors changed about three times in the beginning stages of the planning. But we landed on all different kinds of soft blues because of the way that they complemented each other. It honestly made things very easy because any color of blue would match! Many of the vendors we chose were based on customer service, as well as fitting our style. The florals were easy because they were just elegant and the florist had so many ideas! We trusted the professional and it turned out gorgeous! The details just came into place as the wedding got closer and my parents were a big part in getting every last detail right. Everyone worked so hard to make the wedding wonderful and it was just like a dream come true!”-Alex
“If given the opportunity to relive one hour of my wedding day it would be the time between my first dance with Alexandra and the end of the daddy-daughter dance. While some guys would go back to the moments leading up the reveal or the actual ceremony, I would love to experience those dances one more time. The first dance with my wife was and always will not only a highlight of our wedding but also of my life. At that moment, a room full of people felt surprisingly empty as my beautiful bride and I got to have an intimate moment with one another. Following that dance with the mother-son dance. This was a special moment for both of us. The dance between Alexandra and her father not only showed that my father-in-law is a better dancer than me it always reminded me of just how much I love to see Alexandra smile. “-Grant
We are so thrilled for you guys! Big hugs from Arizona you two! : )
