“How beautiful and light hearted she was throughout the day. I could tell by her smile and laughter that she was enjoying every moment. Just seeing that made my heart feel full.”-Eric
“Truthfully, I couldn’t help but laugh at how well my timeline played out throughout the day! My hair and makeup finished an hour early, pictures at the ceremony ended on time and I got our bridal party on time to the venue to enjoy some of the cocktail hour. I owe it all to our family though who really stepped up to make it all happen. I can’t thank them enough for all they did the day of and the week leading up to our wedding day.”-Kristine
“My favorite time of the day was walking down the aisle and finally getting to see and look at Eric! Despite the time crunch for photos by keeping the first look traditional where we didn’t see each other until I walked down the aisle, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was so special and will remain one of the happiest moments of my life.”-Kristine
“Seeing Kristine walk down the aisle and the moment we were able to join hands and I could just look at how beautiful she was.”-Eric
“Our bridal party are our best friends from before we met and when we were together. Having moved away from our home towns and making a new home together, these are people that we know that no matter how much time has passed or may pass in our future, they’re the people that we could easily just pick up a conversation with and have a great time.”-Eric
“The venue was actually suggested by my parents, who live in the Pebble Creek community. I’m originally from Illinois and Eric is from North Dakota and we met in San Diego. It was definitely a unique situation to work with, but with all the colder weather than normal this time of year in the Midwest, Phoenix was a perfect getaway for our families. As for my colors and florals, I came up with a couple description of my ideal wedding early on in the planning process that really helped to guide everything else: “simple elegance” and “rustic romance”. There wasn’t too much rustic detail, but it was what inspired the curly willow for my centerpieces that I absolutely loved! All other bouquets and details stuck to the simple elegance theme, lots of white/cream & soft accent hues. The boldest color was the slate blue of the bridesmaids dresses that was just the pop of color that still kept things simple yet elegant. At first I thought I may have made things too bland but our reception looked even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined!”-Kristine
“First, I would rewind to our first dance where for the first time of the day it was really just us, enjoying each other as well as our friends and family that surrounded us. Fast forward to our DJs bringing everyone out to the dance floor for a picture, with a surprise box full of light sticks for everyone that really spiked the energy in the room and kept the dancing going for the rest of the night!”-Eric
“Not having a wedding planner can be difficult, but totally doable with enough time and patience sifting through vendors. However, having a day-of coordinator at least for the reception would be the one necessity! It was where we spent most of our effort and budget, so having someone ensure that part went smoothly was so worth it.”-Kristine
