Sweet Desert Engagement Session –

June 14, 2018

It was a warm afternoon when Dusty met Nicole and Matt at the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, and the love these two brought it! Man between their smiles and affection for each other, it is so clear they are totally smitten! It was even better because  this is the location where he proposed and holds such a special place in their story, so naturally it made a perfect backdrop for their engagement photos too! One important part of the story is that Matt made plans and incorporated their sweet puppy Myla into the proposal itself and so we had to snap a couple with Myla too! Nicole and Matt you guys are adorable together and we are so absolutley looking forward to capturing your Troon North wedding in the spring! This session got us so excited to capture all the love you two have for each other, which I’m sure will just multiply come the big day! We can’t wait! – Hugs, Dusty, Jenn and the Studio Girls

“So our proposal story…..Our friends from Illinois were in town, they said they were visiting for my birthday. The morning before my birthday my two friends and I went and got our hair done. On our way home we got a text from our friends Dan and Trevor asking if we wanted to meet them and Matt at the Riparian Preserve with our dog Myla. We met them there and walked around for a little bit, after a while Matt shewed the others away besides our friend Lauren (who took pictures of the proposal). Matt started off by thanking me for taking care of him all week because he was sick. Matt then said ” I should have asked you this a long time ago” (which was when I started crying) he then asked me to marry him, I continued crying and just nodded my head without saying “yes”. The ring didn’t fit me, it could literally fall off my finger, which made us laugh. I kind of knew it was coming because why else would our friends come in for two days and the night before we got our nails done. Matt’s extra effort to make sure I looked nice for the proposal was very sweet.” – Nicole

“I knew I loved Matt so early on. He was always so nice, kind and sweet towards me. A time that sticks out though is when gum got stuck in my hair at a bar at school one night. I was freaking out and he got it out for me with ice and then the rest with peanut butter later on at home that night 🙂 Matt is the funniest person I know, his sense of humor and patience he has towards me is what I love about him the most.” – Nicole

“I don’t remember the exact place of our first kiss, but it was where we went to college- Western Illinois University, probably at a bar or one of our apartments.” – Nicole
