Hi I'm Jenn! I'm a Christ-follower, a wife to an amazing hubby and a mom to three precious little girls. I'm an Arizona native that went to college in Oklahoma, but then fell in love with a guy who lived minutes from my childhood home! I dabbled in a few careers before falling in love with photography and never looked back!
My priorities are raising our girls to know the Lord, constantly growing in our marriage, and providing a safe and peaceful home for our family and friends! I love this phase of life I am in right now and could not be more thankful to have this career that gives me sneak peeks to the best seasons of people's everyday lives. Its the best! I hope I get to capture your life's memories soon!
Elegant Intimate Wedding at Eagle Mountain Golf Club – Kayla
July 5, 2018
Traveling out from Virginia to have their desert wedding here in Fountain Hills, we could have loved Caite and Greg’s sunny Arizona wedding more! The morning of their wedding, Caitie and her girls headed off for some fun time together at the Pinterest show here in Phoenix, meanwhile, Greg and his guys went go-cart racing! Now if that isn’t an awesome way to kick off a wedding day, we don’t know what is!
That is the exact vibe of the entire wedding day that these two put out, laid back and easy going, and it set the perfect tone for the entire day! For their intimate wedding at Eagle Mountain, Caitie and Greg were set on just having their closest friends and family there and Kayla could not have been more honored to be a part of capturing all the special moments.
We especially loved how many special traditions and heirlooms were involved! Caitie wore her great grandma’s ring for her something old and blue. She had a piece of her mom’s wedding dress wrapped around her bouquet. Her earrings and pearls were her mom’s. They also served port wine at dinner, which is a Navy tradition. Her ring was made of the diamond from her engagement ring along with diamonds from their grandmothers and her parents, how special is that! Greg wore his Navy dress uniform, and gets major props for being in all wool in 110-degree heat!! Thankfully we had a beautiful breeze that kept the day from being too hot! Greg’s father had the honor of officiating the wedding and you could tell that family was very important to both of them!
One of my favorite parts of the day was their “first touch”. They opted out of the traditional first look and instead wanted to just do a touch before the big reveal down the aisle, and it was so sweet because even though they had a wall between them, Greg just kept making Caitie laugh! Truly the whole time they were together they were so happy!
One thing that truly touched me and had me on the verge of tears, is that as a part of their wedding favors, Caitie and Greg handed out challenge coins, these are small coins which are handed out by service members for outstanding service or performance of duty. They are very significant in the military and are thought to have originated after World War I. Having myself grown up in a family that has members in the military and law enforcement, I had a special connection and strong respect for this couple and their wedding party. I have many challenge coins from things my dad has been a part of, so when they gave me one of their challenge coins that were their party favors, I almost started crying. Each one had a unique number on it and I feel so honored to have one from their day!
Greg and Caitie, we are so excited for you guys as you embark on this journey in marriage together. Thank you for letting us be a part of capturing one of the best days of your life, we are forever grateful and appreciate your service to our country!
All our best, Kayla, Jenn and the Studio girls
