They live on the East Coast now, but she grew up here in Arizona, so coming back for her wedding here was a must, thankfully Dan loves the desert vibe so it worked out perfectly! Two weeks ago these two celebrated under the stars with Mexican food (cause who doesn’t love tacos!?) and twinkle lights with their closest family and friends! A story just beginning to unfold and I’m so thankful I got to capture their sweet and intimate!
“We wanted a low key Arizona vibe with plenty of guacamole. With a number of family and close friends from the east coast, we picked a resort that offered a mini-vacation for our guests.” – Melissa
“My two groomsmen were my brothers. They are special in my life since we are close in age and grew up working on the family farm. I would say that there are no two other people that I would rather have up there supporting me for such a special day. Melissa also had two of her siblings stand with us at the altar. It was important to us to have our parents and all of our siblings in our bridal party. We both come from large families and wanted to honor the special place they have in our hearts.” – Dan
“One thing that makes me laugh is that I completely forgot about my train and didn’t have it down to walk down the aisle – oh well! I was there to get married to Dan, not to worry about my dress!” – Melissa
“With so many beautiful flowers in Rita’s Garden we decided to do our own table arrangements using a mix of vases from my mother and aunt. We put them together the day before the wedding in our hotel room! We used succulents for table settings so our guests could take a little piece of Arizona home with them. My amazing mom and brother spent an afternoon adding lace around each succulent. We especially lucked out that my brother designed all of the signage for the wedding, pulling all of the colors together so nicely.” – Melisssa
