When I think back to Dallas and Ashlyn’s wedding day this month that backed up to the Superstition Mountains in Arizona, the best adjective I can think of, is peaceful. Even though there are many moving pieces on a wedding day, their once in forever day was probably the most calm day I have every shot. I credit so much of this to Ashlyn and Dallas, just letting the day come and enjoying each bit of it. Not everything went perfect, no wedding day ever is. Shoot, Ashlyn even forget her actual wedding ring on the kitchen sink that morning, lol, Ashlyn don’t kill me for typing that! You aren’t the first! haha
But with that said… she didn’t freak out, or get worked up- she just sent someone to go get and you know what…it worked out **just fine**. It always does!
Its almost like these two knew the secret of enjoying a wedding day is just letting go of the small things and soaking it all in as it comes. They got to spend the entire day surrounded by friends and family, with each other, with their sweet boys.
It was incredible and as I watched this happy couple stroll through their day with gigantic smiles on their faces. I couldn’t have wished anything else for them.
My favorite part was jumping in the car after ceremony and heading down the road for some sunset photos, it was like we were transported out of AZ with big lush trees, grass and the most perfect light. It was so relaxing and Ashlyn and Dallas got to spend some time in the quiet sunset together. The ended the night partying on the dance floor, some epic speeches and a first dance that brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
Ashlyn and Dallas I hope you embrace the trials of life with the same grace and laughter as your wedding day. You guys are so incredible together, as partners, parents, and friends. It was a joy to capture and be a part of your day. So much love, Jenn
