Windmill Winery Wedding

January 4, 2019

Okay, so Karin and Ryan have like the CUTEST love story ever! They met really early in life, (we’re talking kids!) and have known each other ever since, but only as friends.  Ryan was one of Karin’s brothers’ best friends and their families sharing a mutual bond and love for dairy farming here in Arizona. Though life took them different directions for a while, their hearts ultimately leading them back to one another. Their history and story is rich and unique. It was so special to witness it come to full fruition as they joined their families on this beautiful fall day at Windmill Winery!
Their first look was definitely an emotional and memorable highlight. They really savored the moment and took their time reading handwritten vows to each other which brought out so much sweet emotion. We couldn’t hear what they were saying but we could tell such a special moment was unfolding between our eyes and that this moment meant a lot to both of them. It was soon followed by a special gift giving with their 3 children as they prepared to officially unite as one family! How amazing! We loved getting to see their heartfelt exchanges and the kids faces light up while opening the carefully thought out gifts from their parents. It continued into the ceremony as they did a symbolic branding unifying the two families as one with the most amazing M shaped custom-designed branding. You can see it on Ryan’s ring below!
Although it started raining a bit when we first arrived, it quickly cleared up and made for a gorgeous day celebrating with loved ones! Hooray! If anything the little bit of rain just kinda added to the sparkle of the day and made all the plants and colors extra vibrant that day!
Can we just talk for a second about all the amazing decor and color coordination that went into the planning!? We were just blown away when we walked into the reception area, Karin’s attention to detail was spot on and the venue truly complimented her vision of rustic elegance. She did a phenomenal job planning out every beautiful detail and it truly showed when the whole day came together!
We are so grateful we were able to help capture such a significant day and beginning of a new chapter in their family’s lives. Thank you, Karin & Ryan, for allowing us to share in your joy!! – Shannon, Kayla, and the Studio Girls
Thanks so much to these INCREDIBLE vendors for putting together such a flawless day! The design and execution came together perfectly and it was so great working with you all!

“I have looked at wedding venues for years. The windmill winery has been one of my favorites for long time.I think having the windmill winery as our venue is a perfect match of growing up and being from dairy farm background. Karin’s parents and brother’s still have a dairy farm just 20 minutes from venue. ” – Karin

“It had rained a few hours before the wedding so the venue was a little muddy.. The few places that had concrete that was easy for people to hang out happen to be near bridal cottage so my entire family was hanging out there when Ryan came for our first look!” – Karin

“ My favorite time of the day was the first look with Ryan!” – Karin

“If I could relive one hour of the day, it would be the time when it was just the two of us before wedding.” – Ryan

Just LOVE these sweet moments during their first look together! The love and emotion was palpable as Ryan got to see his *stunnin* bride Karin in her wedding dress for the first time, and they both lit up with happiness!

“ We loved that our kids stood up for us as our bridal party! We wanted to keep this about us as a family and how special each of them are in our new life together. Ella was maid of honor, and Ryan Jr & Westin are my bestmen. The Ringbearers and flower girls were Karin’s little nieces and nephews.” – Ryan

“I chose rustic/ glam to incorporate our two looks… I like everything with rhinestones and glitter and Ryan likes rustic and more simple and our colors are blush, champagne and barnwood!” – Karin

“ The one special moment from the ceremony that sticks out in my mind was the branding of our new family brand was special since no one can ever duplicate it.” – Ryan

“ One piece of advice to any bride planning her wedding, I spent so long creating this day that I needed more time to enjoy it!” – Karin
Wishing you two all the best in life as you begin your first year as newlyweds!

Such a beautiful wedding ! Beautiful people and the photographer captured every moment! I do agree so much planning goes into this type of wedding and it’s over in a few hours! The things that are tangible are photos! All these photos capture EVERYTHING! Great memories!
